Afra – Iranian Diaspora in Houston - is a cultural hub dedicated to celebrating and connecting the Iranian community through art, music, literature, and film. We host live performances, art workshops, movie nights, and author talks, creating a welcoming space for expression, dialogue, and shared heritage.
Siavash is an Iranian-American engineer and author based in Houston. He is a faculty member at the University of Houston and works as an engineering consultant. He has a deep passion for writing, art, and literature. He served on the board of writers for Chelcheragh Magazine and has collaborated with several Iranian newspapers and magazines.
Sheida is a Master of Fine Arts student at the University of Houston, focusing on fine arts practices. She has professional experience working with nonprofit educational organizations and multilingual institutions, where she has supported diverse communities through mentorship an interpretation.In her free time, she enjoys creative writing, film photography, and music.
